Mini Manga Vol. 05 But Make It Yaoi [Part One]

It’s been so long since I read and comics/manga even longer since I’ve wanted to write about them. Lately, I’ve been really into Yaoi hence the title. Still, because I’ve read so many of them, I decided to dedicate two posts to this specific genre. (Plus, long posts don’t do well.)

The Greatest Villain by Sujin Kim

I equally liked and disliked this comic. While I thrive off of others’ drama and turmoil, Sawoo annoyed me. His behaviors and attitude are almost childlike, which creeped me out, especially when he became intimate with Kido.

Kido is hot. He’s violent and aggressive but with the sole purpose of protecting Sawoo from himself. He has a soft side that makes me melt.

Not a lot goes on throughout the story besides them finding each other and falling in love. Still, I think it’s worth the read if you enjoy drama and friends to lovers romance.

Biting The Tiger by Mindal Park

Hanwool is a mythical tiger that guides dead souls to the beyond. He has a hatred for humans that spans centuries. Kyunghoon is the vocalist of a famous band. Secretly gay and in love with his best friend. There chance meeting sets into motion a series of events that connect in ways nobody ever saw coming.

While this comic is a little more sweet than spicy, I still really enjoyed it. Hanwool and Kyunghoon have to do more than figure out how two people who are literally from different worlds are going to make it work. They also have to battle through years of trauma to heal. I love how everything is connected in this story.

Totally Captivated by Hajin Yoo

Drama, drama, drama! Totally Captivated had me on my toes the whole time. Just when I thought things were going to calm down, I got hit harder than before. Nothing is what it seems to be.

Some creepy and downright wrong things took place within this comic, and though I could stomach it doesn’t mean everyone can.

*By the way that’s my disclaimer*

Ewon and Mookyul’s relationship, as well as this comic, can be summed up simply. Good boy meets bad boy. Bad boy likes the good boy because he’s not really a part of his lifestyle. Bad boy has trauma, attachment issues, and possibly a mental disorder which makes bad boy dangerous. Good boy uncovers secrets and demands bad boy change his lifestyle. Then the drama ensues. To say their relationship is toxic is an understatement, but it does make for damn good reading.

With Love,

Mare💜
