Mini Manga Vol. 06 But Make It Yaoi [Part Two]

His House by Hajin Yoo

His house follows Gangyoo Lee, a college student who pays his bills by becoming a boyfriend for hire. He’s never had a male client until Soohyun Yoon. Soohyun is a cripple ex-college basketball player with a stick up his ass.

In the beginning, he was vulgar to Gangyoo because he disagreed with his job. The same job profession he’s currently taking advantage of. Pot meet kettle. Eventually, they warm up to each other and gain a sense of camaraderie. Gangyoo begins to fall for Soohyun. He’s perplexed by this because he’s never been attracted to a man before. Essentially I thought this was a story about two straight guys finding out that they’re a little crooked, but no. This story is so much more and so unexplainably fucked up. I finished the story, and I even enjoyed it, but I gagged every time Gangyoo and Soohyun behaved romantically.

The Tiger That Swallowed The Moon by Nabit & Lufer

I’m conflicted about my opinions in regards to this story. On the one hand, the aggressive sex scenes are kind of spicy on the other, they’re not needed. The plot alone is enough to keep me interested. The romance between Taebom and Lunaison is so one-sided and cringe.

I don’t find the main couple interesting enough to carry the comic. The relationship screams grooming. Taebom behaves like a child who doesn’t want to share his toys. His toy being Lunaison. I’ve also don’t think his attachment to Lunaison is being received the way the author expected it. Again Taebom behaves like a child. However, I am piqued with the notion that Rise and Daoul will be a thing. The plus side is that the comic is ongoing, which means it can only get better from here.

The Director Who Buys me Dinner

by Toesa & Eunji Yang

I love the lovers from pasts lives theme, but at the same time, I hate it. Yudam and Dongbaek have nothing in common. Yet if they don’t date, “god” will kill them, and they’ll come back in another life. Again.

It’s kind of like someone putting a gun to your head. This is another story where two men who have never been interested in men are now interested in each other. Dongbeak accepts this for what it is because he can still remember all his past lives. Yudam quickly bulks at the thought of entertain Dongbeak romantically. I feel like some of it is supposed to comical, and it is, for the most part, until things start to get serious. Suddenly, Yudam is head over heels for Dongbaek. His feeling went from zero to one hundred real quick. I don’t know if the writers are trying to rush things or if it’s supposed to be some type of example of ‘gods’ power. Either way, it baffles me.

The Knight’s Unfulfilled Dreams by Sujin Kim

I saved the spiciest for last. When I say most of this was just sex, I promise you I’m not exaggerating. This comic was chef’s kiss.

The sex between Prince Kaliyan and Ian was magnifique (magnificent). I mean top-tier Yaoi shit. The angst had me on the edge of my seat. I enjoyed seeing softer and even humorous sides of the characters between some of the more tense situations.
