It’s a two parter. Yay!
Just because I was away does’t mean I didn’t read. In an attempt to keep the authenticity of my reviews I decided against trying to recollect my thoughts from books I read months ago. Instead I’ve decided to a one through five stars rating.

Title: The Blacksmith Queen [Scared Earth Saga #1]
Author: G.A. Aiken
Genre: Fantasy romance, paranormal, shapeshifters
Published: August 2019
Ratings: ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩
The usual G.A. Aiken. Witty, funny and action packed.

Title: Credence
Author: Penelope Douglas
Genre: Dark romance, New Adult, Reverse Harem
Published: January 2020
Rating: ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩
Penelope snatched my wig with this one. I loved every minute of this twisted dark romance. It felt so wrong but was so fucking good.

Title: Mile High With A Vampire [Argeneau #33]
Author: Lynsay Sands
genre: Fantasy, Paranormal Romance, Vampires
Published: September 2021
Rating: ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩
The story I never knew I needed. Being introduced to both main characters in other books from the series I wasn’t enthusiastic at the start. I was presently surprised and this has now become one of my favorite installments from this series.

Title: Waiting for Nick [The Stanislaskis #5]
Author: Nora Roberts
Genre: Contemporary Romance, Angst, Chick Lit
Published: October 2004
Rating: ✩ ✩ ✩
The best part of this story was reading about all the other characters from the previous installments of this series. I wasn’t here for their romance but the drama between them was so juicy.

Title: Playboy King [Underworld Bride Trials #1]
Author: Meg Xuemei X
Genre: Paranormal romance, Harem
published: May 2021
rating: ✩ ✩
I’ll keep my thoughts to myself until I read the second book because a lot of shit got dropped at the end and there’s this cliffhanger that’s either going to make or break this series.

Title: Annihilation Road [ Torpedo Ink #6]
Author: Christine Feehan
Genre: Paranormal, Romance, Dark
Published: December 2021
Rating: ✩ ✩ ✩
I was disappointed with this one. I think the disappointment started when not was annoyed that there would be 2 novels for this couple. I hate when the romance drags on. The plot is chef’s kiss though. The drama, the danger, the bad boys on motorcycles… need I say more.

Title: Wild Card [Elite Ops #1]
Author: Lora Leigh
Genre: Contemporary Romance, Military
Published: August 2008
Rating: ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩
Lora knows just how much spice to add to her drama. I’m a woman who loves that kinky shit and Lora incorporates it seamlessly into the plot. I was overly invested in the trials and tribulations of the characters within this novel. Did I cry when it was over? Maybe.

Title: Dark Tarot [Dark #31]
Author: Christine Feehan
Genre: Paranormal Romance, Shapeshifters, Fantasy
Published: November 2021
Rating: ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩
This was such a fun novel. It was adventurous and kind of innocent despite the spicy sex scenes. It was nice to read a novel where the main couple didn’t start off toxic.

Title: Phantom Game [Ghostwalker #18]
Author: Christine Feehan
Genre: Paranormal Romance, Fantasy, Military, Science Fiction
Published: March 2022
Rating: ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩
This installment felt nostalgic. My endearment to the characters that started this series really colored my view but in the best way possible. This novel was everything. Christine put her good foot in this one.

Title: MADK Vol 1, 2
Author: Ryo Suzuri
Genre: Manga, Paranormal, BL, Dark, Yaoi
Published: May 2018 -Continued
Rating: ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩
You never know how dark you’ll go until you get there. Surprisingly I think I go a whole lot darker. MADK is riveting. It compels you to continue reading even when you kind of want to close the book.
Until the next Page,
