Fairytales Reimagined – Cinderella

Now that I’m thinking about this novella (which I read while waiting for my day to end at work) it surprisingly has almost all of the characteristics of Cinderella. The fairy godmother? Check! Mice? Check! A prince? Check! There are a few differences though Cinderella or Odel in this case is extremely wealthy. Michelle our prince is actually pretty poor with a money-hungry mother and two sisters. There is no overbearing and cruel stepmother only a dead tyrant father. The mice well they don’t exactly turn into horses. Okay so maybe this isn’t exactly like Cinderella but the foundation is there. I swear!
