This year I'm not going to go crazy with my TBR's. I'm sure you'll see some books that have been on previous TBR's. I plan on reading all (or most of) the books I brought last year before buying any new ones. I think I went a little wild on the book buying during quarantine. January's TBR is as followed.
Now that I'm thinking about this novella (which I read while waiting for my day to end at work) it surprisingly has almost all of the characteristics of Cinderella. The fairy godmother? Check! Mice? Check! A prince? Check! There are a few differences though Cinderella or Odel in this case is extremely wealthy. Michelle our prince is actually pretty poor with a money-hungry mother and two sisters. There is no overbearing and cruel stepmother only a dead tyrant father. The mice well they don't exactly turn into horses. Okay so maybe this isn't exactly like Cinderella but the foundation is there. I swear!
This post has been a long time coming. As you know I struggled getting into this story but once. I was in I was hooked. Cemetery Boys has dug its way into my soul. Aiden Thomas is a phenomenal author. Aiden has woven culture, gender identity, and other current social justice issues together to create a timeless paranormal story.
