Now this is the part where I talk about Rachael and this will also play into some theories I have in regards to her, Bam, and their relationship. The first episode made it seem like she found Bam and cared for him but this episode made me see things a little differently.
I have a thing for small children in anime. They're just so cute. I'm completely transfixed by Wendelin and his humor. Mainly because he's trying to be funny. For example his face when he found out he was the 8th son of a poor noble family.
Hedon reminds of the bunny from Alice in Wonderland but evil. I don't know what his motives truly are or if he's even evil formal but that smile that never changes creeps me out.
Five very important things happened in this season finale. Golem kicks ass. Golem almost dies. Golem tries to leave Somali. Somali roasts him. Golem cries.
The humans were scared of a species that didn't look like them. Humans called them 'grotesques' and killed them without any rhyme or reason. Because of this, this other species retailiated by killing, selling and eating the humans until their population dwindled to almost exstinct. Thus began a war. Now this species lives holds prejudices in their hearts against all humans.
Golem likes to say he doesn't have feelings and by now we know that's not true but even the beginning he protected her. I'd like to think he always had emotions but because in lived in a solitary existence he never had a chance to show them.
Nobody messes with Somali okay.
I'm not going to lie. Humans ain't shit. Well at least in this anime and honestly they way we're portrayed isn't exactly wrong either. Maybe a bit over exaggerated but there's some truth to the portrayal.
I swear I feel like Somali has some secret ability because she always finds things and trouble just draws to her like a moth to flame.
After this episode I'm going to need a minute. This anime took a turn I was in no way prepared for. I get it characters have trauma. It builds their character. It gives them depth and a little relatability. Under normal circumstances I wouldn't bat an eyelash at the sight of somebody being murdered. I [...]
