Weekly Update 10/18/2020

Let’s just say this week has not been great. My productivity is shot. I spent a night in the ER which gave me anxiety. There’s something about getting your temperature taken seven times that makes you think you have Covid even though you know you don’t.

October Goals

Happy October everyone. For most people fall represents cooler weather, children (and some adults) dressed as goblins, ghouls, and sexy nurses. A time to join with family and friends over a feast. This year things might be a little different (okay a lot of different) but the spirit of the season is still here. Since…

Anime Recap: Kiznaiver 01, 02, 03

After eight Harry Potter movies, two Fantastic Beasts prequels and season two of the Umbrella Academy I think I’m finally ready to dive back into the anime world. What better way than with Kiznaiver. I actually knew very little about this series until it showed up on HBO Max under Crunchyroll Collection. The plot is…

The sad truth about my relationship with anime.

Dear Anime, You know it’s been a long time coming. My inconsistency and withdrawal. My eyes have wandered elsewhere and I know you’ve noticed. It’s time I’ve made it official. It’s time for us to take a break. I’ve decided we need some space. I know it’s not ideal for either of us and I…

Kakushigoto 02 – Beach Sandals and B4/ Don’t Place, Don’t Draw, Don’t Finsh Up

Listeners 01 – Live Forever

I like Mu’s character because even though she doesn’t remember who she is or even how she got where she’s at it’s not portrayed as a weakness. Instead she takes things in stride and questions Echo on the foundation of his life.

Kakushigoto 01 – Secrets/Wishes

Kakushi Goto turns out to be a funny guy. He’s obviously a great manga artist and is well known but fears his daughters judgement. I honestly don’t think he has anything to fear. Hime seems like she’d love her father no matter what his profession was.

Wave, Listen to Me! 01 – I’ll Never Forgive You

I feel like we all can relate to Minare. Who hasn’t gotten a little too intoxicated and said a little too much? Or woken up the next day and barely remembering how you got in your bed? Or struggling with the emotions from a break up and trying your best to get over it because you have things that are more of a priority than your wayward emotions? Just me. Okay.

My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! 01 – I Recalled the Memories of My Past Life

First and foremost this title is long as hell. Now that I got that out of the way I can tell you how pleasantly surprised I am by this series [so far]. I’m not going to lie and say that in the first ten minutes I wasn’t skeptical and didn’t contemplate closing my laptop and…
